The other day i popped into the Romance Was Born headquarters to say hey to Anna Plunkett, a super cute half of the incredibly talented design duo.If your head has been stuck in sand and you are unaware of RWB , it is sufficient to say that their creative talents and stupendously imaginative designs have coloured Australia’s fashion with a new level of fantasy and joie de vivre. Their shows are always an experience , with beautiful set design and an unparalleled energy that is hotly anticipated every RAFW .Not to mention that their out of this world creations and one off wearable pieces of art are frequently commissioned by such acts as YYY’s Karen O,Blondie,Cyndi Lauper, MIA and many more. The ready to wear clothes themselves have a strong sense of individuality and craftsmanship , often incorporating patchwork, crochet , embroidery and other forgotten artesian skills. RWB famously turned down an internship with Galliano to pursue starting their own label and have been a favourite of Vogue Australia and Cate Blanchett. But most of all both Anna and Luke are just awesome, funny peeps.

Anna was hard at work on the new collection which , without giving too much away will feature pastels and monochromatic print. I can’t wait to see the show!

I’ve been fortunate to do a bunch of work with RWB so Anna gave me a couple of amazing dresses from the Nightmare on wall street and Renaissance dinosaur collections. How stunning are they? When my 4 year old daughter Coco saw them she exclaimed that I can borrow them from her for a while until she grows up!
