The Trends You Need To Know Now

New season always means a little change up in the style stakes. It’s a time of wardrobe reshuffling, keeping some things for the next 6 months and storing the others for the next turn on the fashion roundabout. My rules in this (which I regret not implementing earlier in my years!) :never throw out anything you absolutely adore even if it is not in fashion now, nor does it look like it will be in fashion for a few years to come ( oh vintage YSL, how I could use you now!).
Decoding the trends each season can be tiresome, so I have partnered with Macquarie Centre in bringing you what’s coming up in the style stakes for next season in this editorial. Which one will you rock?
Above- GLAM ROCK: Skinny jeans, vicious heels, lamé, loose shirts and big furry jackets – make like David Bowie or Keith Richards in a trend that is all about sex and rock n’roll ( Diesel jacket, jeans, top and belt, Kookai shoes )
B&W

SEVENTIES REVOLUTION: 70s have been rocking the runways for a while now and they will still be going strong into next season. Choose tan leather, sharp tailoring and platform heels for a different take on a skirt suit (Oroton leather suit, Prada sunglasses, Windsor Smith platforms )
OPTICAL INFUSION: A little bit Mod and a whole lot of psychedelic man (Gorman top and skirt, Kookai shoes )

BLOOM VA VOOM: Florals are back this season in all their vintage glory. I love mixing an underwire swimsuit with cute shorts for a look that goes from beach to beach bar ( Isola by Megan Gale swimsuit top, Kookai Shorts )
MELMCQ232PASTEL PUNCH: Hello pastels! We haven’t seen you since…actually pastels have been around for a while but they still look great because, let’s face it, what is better than pastels for Spring? ( Alice McCall jumpsuit )
