When I woke up in the morning to hail, rain and absolutely no sunshine, I pulled the covers over my head and went back to sleep for an hour before I had the courage to reluctantly peek out again. Oh Melbourne, you trickster! By the time my car arrived in Flemington the clouds parted to a gorgeous hot day that was more tropical than my imagined setting of Frozen. Derby Day for me is a time to catch up with friends when we all look classy because, let’s face it, everyone looks amazingly pulled together in black and white. She is equal parts a bipolar magpie, worldly nomad and savvy investor – just look how she combines accessories with wild abandon, exhibits eccentricities by mixing eras and takes herself lightly by purchasing her wears like…
I must admit, I’m quite spoilt when it comes to holidays. Having a holiday house in Croatia does not help – what use is it travelling to the other side of the world for 2 weeks? Jet leg would eat up all the fun! It’s a blessing having a job in which I can get…
