JUNGLE YELLOW
Abandoned, remote Croatian village land explodes into a jungle of yellow summer flowers where once wheat and houses rose up. In the seasons after the Yugoslav War, local children discover the field is theirs to disappear into: a fantasy play-setting taller than they are, dense enough to lose each other in, blooming for nobody in particular.
A picture telling a story of how land remembers and the way it forgets. The image is unretouched , the light a product of late afternoon indian summer .
Produced as a signed, numbered limited edition giclée print, hand-pulled on Canson Rag Photographique 310 gsm 100% cotton archival paper. Each impression bears a fine border, the artist’s hand signature, and a unique number. The edition is strictly limited to fifty across three formats — A2, A1, A0.
