Sydney has been bathed in sunshine lately. The streets, beaches and vistas are simply glowing . It is time to plant sunglasses firmly on the head and welcome summer's heat. After working like a fiend so I can relax when holidays kick off, I'm starting to ease into a bit of a more relaxed schedule that involves daytime meetings and afternoon swims at Bondi beach. The city seems to be going mad - rush hour is busier than ever, holiday decorations scream their jolly messages, people are freaking out about Christmas being only a week away , ordering turkeys and prawns, getting presents and Christmas trees yet the beach is the most beautiful and serene now, whilst people are so preoccupied with end of year pressures.
Taking it easy is not an option now though - there is just so much to do, buy, see! White outfits, however, are always an option in the summer but sometimes I like to use a few coloured accessories to pop against it, like these amazing Miu Miu sunglasses. I had a stroll through the new Sunglass Hut flagship store in the city the other day and noted a few pairs that made it to the "hint hint" Christmas shopping wish list - because unlike perfumes, sunglasses are an intrinsic part of any summer get up.

The warmer months are upon us and there is nothing as refreshing as an all white palette on a sunny day - no matter what the ocassion is. No longer just the domain of tennis players and doctors, white has been having a moment for a few seasons and it shows no sings of disappearing. The crispness of the cleansing palette and the way it pops against a tan is unbeatable. This Camilla and Marc jacket is elegant biker chic when paired with a cute pleated Lover skirt. I also added a crock print Rachel Ruddick clutch and a silver vintage Kramer ring as understated but punchy accessories.
There is nothing wrong with a little bit of flirt - especially when it is done in a demure way. I paired a kicky Lover skirt with this luxe silk Tome top , Scanlan & Theodore heels and U.n.i.f.o.r.m leather cap for a look that goes from day to night and feels like summer personified.

Spring is nearly upon us here in the southern hemisphere and with it the new season. Let's talk about some of the upcoming trends in fashion and make up all the while utilising jewellery star Ryan Storer's gorgeous new season pieces.
White out with sheer chiffon that shimmers. Best paired with a cream fisherman's sweater , romantic white lace or poking underneath grungy layers. Use Yves Saint Laurent's Dare to Glow Voile Fondant Illuminateur in Naughty Pink to highlight the brows, cheekbones and cupid's lip and finish with with Tom Ford's lipstick in Blush Nude. Add a suitably beautiful statement earring for a look that is more fallen angel than saint.
Pink carries on into the next season as the shade du jour. Yes pink is romantic, feminine and pretty but it can also be punk and tough - it is exactly this versatility that is it's greatest allure. Add tough luxe accessories like this vicious ear cuff and toughen up a too -safe outfit , then finish off with some grey eyeshadow like the Fashion shade in Too Faced eyeshadow collection and Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Paimpol.
The new season has gone to dots! Stripes are out as all things polka dotted take the crown as the new print du jour. Let the lip lead the way whilst you keep the rest of the make up minimal. Train Bleu lip pencil by Nars is a modern way to wear a classic matte lip - it's more beautiful than it is gothic. Add an edge with a stunning neck cuff and all eyes will be on you.
